Racin' for Rescues 5K and 1 Mile

Join AZ Paws and Claws Pet Fostering for the 7th Annual Racin' For Rescues 5K and 1 Mile event!

This pet friendly event will hit the paths at Freestone Park in Gilbert on October 7, 2023.

Millions of unwanted dogs and cats are put down every year in US shelters. We want to help change that! By participating in Racin’ for Rescues, you will help us find homes for these pets so they may find that loving family they’ve been waiting for. All of our volunteers are unpaid and willingly put themselves and their hearts on the line to save animals. The funds we collect will help us feed more hungry dogs and cats, provide needed emergency medical care, create more neuter/spay programs for the public and get one step closer to saving them all.

- Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups for the 5K event only. Our age groups are the following: 8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Older
- Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)
- Real Time Results and Photos on our Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)
- Event managed by StartLine Racing. Club SLR discounts do not apply.

Race Day Information
-Race Day packet pickup will be available beginning at 7:00am at Freestone Park
-We accept cash, check, and credit cards on race day
-Cost of registration on race day will be:
5K - $40
1 Mile - $30
-We welcome wheelchairs, strollers, wagons and leashed pets!
-No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
-Please note - this is an open use park and does not close for our event.
-This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds due to weather
