The Recreation and Parks Department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of community public park and recreation areas, and the community cemetery. The Department of 4 includes a Park Superintendent, Cemetery worker, Right-of-Way worker, Parks worker, and a seasonal pool staff of 8-9 instructor/lifeguards.
The Department is also responsible for maintaining the entrances to the Town, public right-of-ways, and maintenance of the Main Street lighting. The lightposts are enhanced during the summer season with flowers, and Snowflakes during the winter holiday season.
The Town offers a wide variety of recreational programs to it's residents, made possible by a joint facility use agreement with the Snowflake Unified School District.
Thursday Night at the Park is a summer offering at Pioneer Park. June through mid-August will find crowds gathered round the Band Shell at the park for a variety of free entertainment
